Lecture – general

To enter a lecture (not a college lecture) into LUCRIS / Converis I have created the following short instruction.

As an example, we will take the following lecture:

  • Mosquera Valderrama I.J. (3 september 2019), Regulatory Framework for Taxation of Incentives- After BEPS(Lecture). Brussels, Belgium: CIAT.

Registering Publications in “Interaction between Legal Systems 2.0”

During the registration process you will be asked to register your publication in one of the sub-projects.
 
The registration will take place on the second tab (Thematic Classification) below the location where you register your research area you will find “Research Profile”. It is important that you start with registering Interaction between Legal Systems 2.0 and then proceed to register the applicable sub-program.
 
The research focus area “Interaction between Legal Systems 2.0” contains the following sub-programs:
  • Data Use 
    • In LUCRIS: Interaction between Legal Systems 2.0 – Law & Online Consumer Behavior
  • Maritime Security
    • In LUCRIS: Interaction between Legal Systems 2.0 – Policing the high seas
  • SOLID
    • In LUCRIS: Interaction between Legal Systems 2.0 – SOLID

How to register a publication (the basics)

  1. Enter bibliographical data as accurate and complete as possible. This will ensure the reference will be formatted properly on your publication-tab.

  2. Entering Authors of a publication.
    The authors name has to be entered twice with each record (even if you are the only author): It needs to be entered as an Internal author (as is every other author who is employed by this university) and again as an All author (to accommodate the reference on your publication-tab). It is of the utmost importance that the way your name in the All authors field has the following format: Vries J. de).

  3. The Online first publication option
    Only use the Online first publication if your publication appears online before it will appear in print! The correct bibliographical data is not yet known (volume / issue / page numbers), but a DOI (digital object identifier) has been designated to your publication by the publisher.

    Be aware not to use this option if your publication has been published in a journal that will only be available online and not in print!

     

  4. Entering a Year
    The system has two ways of entering a year: Year and Reporting year. As a rule of thumb both need to contain the same year.

  5. The option Submit to repository
    If you do not wish to upload your publication in the Open Access Repository  Submit to repository, needs to be “no”. Upload your publication here (Add new) and change the radio button to “yes”.Whether you submit a PDF-file to the repository or not Update in repository must be answered! If you submit a PDF-file, please choose “Yes”.

    If you do not wish to upload a PDF the default answer is “no”. Please answer the question Update in repository with “no”.

  6. The option Original title & Original author
    Original title and original author need to be left empty. Only use them if you have translated a text of someone else.

  7. The option DOI (Digital Object Identifier)
    A DOI will always begin with 10. and not with http:// (this would be a link which you can use in the URL field).

  8. The option Research Areas
    On the second tab Thematic Classification you need to enter a Research Area, this is compulsory.
